Gamestop Gift Card

Posted: December 27, 2010 in Video Game

For the first time in my life I think I have too many video games.

I know what you are thinking, blasphemy!!!

But it is true.  My wonderful wife got me a PS3 for Christmas.  She also got me a game, I have bought 3 new ones myself, and a friend of mine got me one for Christmas as well.  By my count that is 5 new video games for the PS3.  On top of that I bought Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood for the 360, back in November and still haven’t played it.  I was trying to beat Fable 3 at the time, and I almost had Force Unleashed 2 beat.  Which makes the total of games I have yet to beat at 8.  Then I still haven’t beat Dragon Age or Red Faction Guerilla for the 360 yet.  Which makes the total of games I want to beat at 10.  Then when while I was at my wife’s parents house they gave me a 20 dollar gift card to Gamestop.  Normally when I get a gift card my mind instantly comes up with the stuff I can buy.  This time my mind came up blank.  (Although now that I am thinking about it, I need a new 360 controller so maybe the card will go for that. :))Now I don’t want to sound ungrateful and I am truly happy to have all of these gifts and new games.  I love the fact that I have these options but I am a little over whelmed.  I can remember a time while growing up that my parents didn’t have much money.  So as a kid I usually got a new game on my birthday and one around Christmas.  We played those games for months.  Now I have received the equivalent of about 4 years worth of presents in a month.  So to all out there you read this blog and are the ones who got me the gifts, let me say thank you.  I am not ungrateful I just fear I won’t have the time to play through all the games.

Heh, so far I’ve gotten Timeshift, Lara Croft Underworld, Earth Defense Force 2017, Mass Effect 2, Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, and Dead Space. I still have $80 worth of either gift cards or cash that was given to me for video games. Most of the stuff I am interested now doesn’t even come out until later this year, lol. I was sitting in the basement the other day with all these games asking “Which one first????”
